The evolution of digital identity is having an increasing impact on the payments sector, as it is no longer limited to functioning solely as an authentication tool, but is instead assuming the role of an infrastructural element capable of enabling new services and business models.
Professor Finocchiaro will address these issues at the event organised by the Italian Banking Association (ABI), which represents an important opportunity for discussion on the new European framework for digital identity, with particular focus on the role of the EUDI Wallet and the main implications of the eIDAS2 framework for the payments sector and the financial industry.
