Online identification and the security of electronic transactions have become a central issue for the European digital single market. The eIDAS 2 Regulation addresses this area by introducing the European Digital Identity Wallet and broadening the framework of trust services, with a view to strengthening interoperability and mutual recognition among Member States. On 24 September, at the Assonime offices in Rome, Professor Finocchiaro and Professor Delfini will present the volume they edited, “Identificazione elettronica e servizi fiduciari per le transazioni elettroniche nel mercato interno”, taking stock of a regulatory framework still in the course of implementation.
